Why are my commands not being accepted?

If you are having trouble with voice command acceptance or you hear “I’m sorry, please say again,” try following these steps:

  1. Reference your site's App Summary list to ensure you’re using the correct voice command (e.g., "Hello <first Name>", "Message <Group Name>", "Play Messages"). TIVA will only recognize and accept the programmed command, person, or group name, so it is important to use the exact verbiage.
  2. Check your headset placement, ensuring the microphone is no more than 5 inches away from your mouth while speaking. TIVA may have trouble understanding you if the microphone is too far from your mouth while speaking.
  3. Ensure that your headset is plugged completely into the Communicator.
