How to troubleshoot headsets

If you suspect your headset is not working properly, our support team is always here to help. For starters, we recommend following these quick troubleshooting steps: 

  1. Unplug the headset from the Communicator and plug it back in, ensuring it is plugged in fully. 
  2. Clip the headset onto your shirt, apron or lanyard, ensuring the microphone is about 5" from your mouth.  
  3. Try connecting the headset to a different Communicator. 
    • If the headset works, it's likely that the Communicator should be returned to Theatro for Maintenance. See information about when to return Communicators to Theatro.
    • If the headset still isn't working properly, it may need to be replaced. See information about how to order new headsets
